Kaycee is the proud wife to Robert Cavender, a sixth-generation Cleburne County resident, and a homeschooling mom of four.
Raised by hardworking parents who believed in grit, responsibility, and earning your way, Kaycee grew up learning firsthand that nothing replaces hard work, determination, and discipline.
At just fifteen, she began working at a local law firm where she discovered her passion for law, justice, and serving her community. Her early legal experience included civil and criminal cases, bankruptcy work, and major class-action litigation involving harmful weight-loss drugs that impacted Alabama families.
She earned her Associate of Science degree from Southern Union State Community College, continued her studies at Jacksonville State University, and then went on to receive her paralegal certification. Kaycee later worked in the private practices of former district attorneys and municipal judges in Baldwin County, gaining valuable insight into the legislative process, public policy, and community-driven political engagement.
Kaycee has led multiple large grassroots efforts focused on protecting families, preserving freedom, and demanding accountability from government—giving her a firsthand understanding of what responsive, principled leadership should look like. Kaycee was also governor appointed and confirmed by the legislature to serve on an Alabama state board.
After returning home to Cleburne County in 2017, she co-founded CC Athletics in 2022 and supported her husband as he launched Ready Man Property Services in 2024. Together, they have invested in strengthening their community, supporting local families, and expanding opportunities for youth and small businesses.
Robert, Kaycee, and their children are proud, active members of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church where Kaycee teaches a Women's Bible Study class, volunteers for Sunday School with the youth, and Robert serves as a trustee and worship leader.
Kaycee is running for the Alabama State House in District 40 to deliver strong conservative leadership, protect families, support rural communities, ensure tax dollars stay local without raising taxes, and uphold the values that make Cleburne and Calhoun Counties exceptional places to live.
